A cup of tea

 photo ff.png

Mid afternoon and early evening are my most favourite times to stop, and make a pot (not cup) of tea.
Preparing my lovely little teapot with loose leaf tea, and choosing which pretty cup is all part and parcel of this little ritual that marks some 'time out' for me, and it's one that I've come to really love.

There is something very special about the humble cuppa.
Whatever the scenario; be it catching up with an old friend or a family occasion, the phrase "who's for a cuppa?" will never be far from our lips. I can understand why other nations wonder at the Brits' fascination with their tea. Our attachment to this pasty liquid is strong and it's roots run deep.
It's our national treasure. It's a hug in a mug and it's the beverage we turn to in times of joy and sorrow.
So today, my lovely little cup of tea ... you, are my favourite fing.

My favourite Tea recipe

After seeing how tea is made, my friend Miriam swears by good quality tea.
She also showed me this lovely tea recipe. It's like a normal cuppa but a bit more fragrant
(like Pg tips in a nice dress!)

Mix the following together in one pretty jar.
1 packets of loose leaf Assam
1 packet of loose leaf earl grey
Then use one teaspoon per cup (and don't forget your sieve!)

Let me know what you think! How do you drink yours?
