DIY Woodland nature-inspired baby mobile

Hey all, well it's been actual months since my last blog post. I've had so many projects lined up that I've wanted to share with you but my hands have been so full, literally, all day every day. I'm absolutely loving motherhood though I must say ... Frankie is such a joyful little soul. My days are all about soaking up as much of her as I possibly can. She's rolling over now and is full of smiles and chuckles. I'm now also incredibly good at doing things with one hand, and I can eat / drink at incredible speed if need be :-) but unfortunately blogging takes two hands hence the very long gap. So here is one of the things I made for Frankie. It's a baby mobile but it if you dropped the little creatures it could also be a lovely autumnal nature decoration!

Botanical print feature wall & how to hang pictures easily

Botanical prints feature wall

I was watching the TV programme ‘The Good Wife’ a few years ago and I noticed the lovely feature wall in Alicia's apartment. It was covered in uniform frames of botanical flowers - and I loved it. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to re-create this wall art ever since, and now I have a new craft room I thought this would be an ideal opportunity! It was quite by coincidence that when hubby’s lovely Grandmother Joan passed away a couple of years ago, Grandpa gave me a beautiful set of botanical prints that once belonged to her. I was so touched by this - as not only could I make a beautiful wall of art filled with flowers and nature, but it would also be a lovely way to remember Joan, who aside from being a keen nature lover and gardener, was also a crafty soul herself.

Harris tweed - Applique for beginners from Vivebooks.

I don't know about you, but I have never used an ebook before.  I spend enough time on a computer, so when it comes to reading I like to feel the weight of a book in my hands and that's something I don't think will ever change. However, I was recently asked to review the ebook Harris Tweed - Applique for beginners and I absolutely loved it!
