A month in pictures - A frosty December

Happy New Year all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We had a lovely Christmas, and had a quiet but cosy New Year with our close friends - we reminisced about the previous New Years we had spent together ... partying the night away into the wee small hours ... while this year we were all in our PJ's sipping tea in front of the fire. How times have changed :-) I'm looking forward to this year ... it's going to be a year of change. We're hoping to move house at some point which will be an awfully big adventure and I can not wait! But for now here's a look back over December.

I shared some photos from our cottage break in Snowdonia this month. It is so beautiful there ... it really was like Narnia which really got me in the festive mood. One of my new year resolutions this year is to get more photo albums printed up. I don't know about you but I have SO many holiday photos just sitting on my laptop. In fact I finally got around to making my honeymoon photo album this week - which was almost (ahem) 4 years ago. Still, better late than never hey?

It has been super frosty on our walks this month, but lovely all the same. I picked rose hips and made my anti-ageing rosehip facial oil. I love the scent of the Rose hips ... you may have already seen the little tutorial video I made, but if not and if you'd like to make some for yourself there's still time - providing the birdies haven't got to them all!

Ah Christmas decorations. Don't you love them? it always takes me a good few hours decorating our house as I always go to town. This was a ceiling garland I made using string, fairy lights and baubles. It's so effective and would be ideal for winter weddings too.

Then as we prepared for the coming Christmas, we chopped logs, covered the windows with fake snow (I was quite reluctant to wash it off) and Ralphy put pen to paper for his annual Christmas message - he really does have wonderful penmanship for a canine don't ya think? :-)

Well that's it for now. I hope you all have a splendid January and don't feel too glum once the deccies are down ... I was feeling a little down in the dumps myself but after a dose of 'Grantchester' followed by a moment of joy when I discovered a rogue mince pie in the cupboard, things soon started to look up :-)
