| Don't be thinking I choose natural products just because I'm a bit of a hippy (ok I am a bit of a hippy) but I choose them because they work! |
You'll notice most of my favourite products are oil-based. This is because when it comes to beauty, natural oils are the key. Olive, Jojoba, Shea, Coconut, Avocado, Argan and Primrose all have powerful healing properties and the likes of Cleopatra was slapping olive oil on her face long before we were frying our veg in it.
We used to think oil was the enemy when it comes to our skin, but the right natural oils work with our skin. They help to retain a natural balance, whereas many chemical-based products strip the skin of oils leaving it feeling squeaky clean / tight and dry, our skin then compensates by over-producing oil which then results in clogged pores and breakouts. So oil-based products are much better option, even for those with oily / problematic skin. SO here are my best natural cleansers of the moment ....

AHC: Feels great. Apply and remove with hot muslin cloth. Leaves skin clean and really soft. A little goes a long way so while it might seem pricey but it lasts a long time.

AHC: I love this creamy cleanser. Sinks into skin but washes off easily leaving very soft skin.

Watching pennies?
The above cleansers aren't cheap I'm afraid. But our money IS going on top ingredients and not fancy packaging. So we're getting what we pay for here. However if you're watching your pennies, in the next post I'll be showing you how to make your own deep cleansing oil. Will cost much less but is just as good, if not better than the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser (Shhh I didn't say that!)Further reading....
