The BEST natural cleansers I've found are ...

Don't be thinking I choose natural products just because I'm a bit of a
hippy (ok I am a bit of a hippy) but I choose them because they work!
Lets get one thing straight. While I am a bit of a hippy-esque earthmother, when it comes to my skin I'm just as vain as the rest of you. I want soft, smooth, blemish-free skin and since I'm not getting any younger I also want the BEST wrinkle-preventing ingredients drenching my face at all times. I have now tried most products under the sun. I thought a chemical-heavy cream would be the ticket to ironing out my crows feet, but after much trial and error it appears to be quite the opposite. My skin has never been better and it's all down to our lovely, very potent mother nature! Note: I'm not getting paid to say this ... I wish I was, but I'm not.

The power of natural oils and how they work.

You'll notice most of my favourite products are oil-based. This is because when it comes to beauty, natural oils are the key. Olive, Jojoba, Shea, Coconut, Avocado, Argan and Primrose all have powerful healing properties and the likes of Cleopatra was slapping olive oil on her face long before we were frying our veg in it.

We used to think oil was the enemy when it comes to our skin, but the right natural oils work with our skin.  They help to retain a natural balance, whereas many chemical-based products strip the skin of oils leaving it feeling squeaky clean / tight and dry, our skin then compensates by over-producing oil which then results in clogged pores and breakouts. So oil-based products are much better option, even for those with oily / problematic skin. SO here are my best natural cleansers of the moment ....

Made in England. 100% natural.

THEM: 'Botanicals natural deep cleansing melts are designed to penetrate the skin's lower layers; removing impurities and restoring natural balance. When removed with a hot cloth, pores will open, and all of the impurities which cause dull and blemished skin will be gently released and wiped away.'

AHC: Feels great. Apply and remove with hot muslin cloth. Leaves skin clean and really soft. A little goes a long way so while it might seem pricey but it lasts a long time.

Watching pennies?

The above cleansers aren't cheap I'm afraid. But our money IS going on top ingredients and not fancy packaging. So we're getting what we pay for here. However if you're watching your pennies, in the next post I'll be showing you how to make your own deep cleansing oil.  Will cost much less but is just as good, if not better than the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser (Shhh I didn't say that!)
