In November I saw this lovely little Toadstool lamp by White rabbit england in a local craft / nice fings shop. I immediately took a picture and put it on my Christmas list.
Toadstool lamp in red (they also do blue!) |
Now I should probably come clean now and admit that yes ... it is a child's night-light.
My entire family were in fit of giggles at how excited I was at having received a child's night-light for Christmas but I didn't care! It's hand-painted, it has fairies on it, AND mole and toad are around the back having a picnic! (you know how much I love Wind in the willows).
So call it what you like, I just see a beautiful piece of hand-painted pottery that has a practical function and lights up my little sewing corner perfectly : )
You could always say it's for your 'niece' : ) |

This is so cute! Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable isn't it Rachel?! makes me smile every time I switch it on : )
DeleteHi Jodie May,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog, it was lovely to have found you! I am so with you on the lamp. I don't think I have ever really grown out of childs' stuff. I have a toadstool lamp also, found in the children's section of a shop. I have a child's tea set that I use for bulbs and as egg cups! Whose to say people are too old for it all? Just shows we are still young at heart!
I shall make a cuppa and read a bit more!
Take care
